What is Computer?

• The Computer is an electronic device which accept inputted data then process data and show the result as output.
• The word computer has been derived from a Greek word "compute" which means "to calculate". So that the computer is also called a calculating machine that performs two types of calculations such as arithmetical as well as logical calculations.
• The computer is not only process inputted data but also store and retrieve data from its memory.
• Charles Babbage is regarded as the father of modern computer.

What is data?

1. Data is the raw figures which has no meaning.

E.g:- 20

What is information?

1. The collection of data is called information which has certain meaning.

E.g:-20 books.
