    In information technology generation means "the changes of technologies in day to day life for future". In the early days man was used pigeon for communication. But now mobile and internet makes easy to communicate people in all over the world in a little bit.

                         Mobile generation is classified in five types. 

1st  generation

2nd generation

3rd generation

4th generation

1st  generation

• The 1st generation was started in the year 1980.
  
  
• It uses FDMA(Frequency Division Multiple Technology).
  
  
• Its capacity was 30KHz.
  
  
• The frequency bandwidth was 900MHz.
  
  
• The signal was full analog.
  
  
• In this generation user only talk to another people.
  
  
• The voice quality was very poor.

2nd  generation

• The 2nd generation was started in the year 1990
  
  
• It uses two types of technologies TDMA(Time Division Multiple Access) and CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access).
  
  
• Its capacity was 1.8Ghz
  
  
• The frequency bandwidth was 900MHz to 1900MHz.
  
  
• The signal was full analog.
  
  
• In this generation user talk to another people and also send SMS(Short message service).
  
  
• The voice quality was very smooth.

3rd generation

• The 3rd generation was started in the year 2000.
  
  
• It uses HSPA(High Speed Packet Access) technology.
  
  
• Its capacity was 2.69 Ghz.
  
  
• The frequency bandwidth was 384 kbps.
  
  
• The signal was full analog with digital.
  
  
• In this generation user talk to another people,send SMS,MMS,Video calling .
  
  
• The voice and video quality is very fair.

4th  generation

• The 4th generation was started in the year 2010.
  
  
• It uses LTE(Long Term Evolution) technology.
  
  
• The frequency bandwidth was 100 Mbps to 1Gbps.
  
  
• The signal was full digital with high speed data rate.
  
  
• In this generation user talk to another people, send SMS, MMS, Video calling, Google mapping, Video conferencing, Net meeting etc.
  
  
• The voice quality, dtr(Data transfer rate) is very high in comparison to 1G,2G,3G.

5th  generation

• The 4th generation was started in the year 2020.
  
  
• It is called wwww(world wide wireless web).
  
  
• The frequency bandwidth was 1Gbps to 100 Gbps.
  
  
• The signal was full and high digital with high speed data rate.
  
  
• In this generation user talk to another people, send SMS, MMS, Video calling, Google mapping, Video conferencing, Net meeting, HD downloading, Live Video etc.
  
  
• The voice quality, dtr(Data transfer rate),browsing, uploading and downloading  a is very high in comparison to 1G,2G,3G,4g.
